Spanish major

Spanish minor

The Spanish Program, which offers a Spanish major and a Spanish minor, seeks to give students the requisite linguistic skills with which to read, discuss and write intelligibly in Spanish.

For students wishing to broaden their proficiency, the Spanish Program offers advanced Spanish-language courses which deal with aspects of both Peninsular and Latin American literature and culture. Students have an opportunity in these courses to sharpen their linguistic proficiency while at the same time gaining a better understanding of the contributions made by Spanish-language philosophers, artists, and writers.
