Visiting Violeta  -- Paris (2007)

Obligatory Beginning-of-the-Trip Photo
Violeta returned to Paris after her post-doc, and I hadn't seen her in two years. She came to visit cheese land with Monica a few years ago, so I owed her a visit. Besides, she said if I didn't come see her, she was going to write me out of the will.
I was so pleased to see Violeta.  She took me to all the fabulous places and generally spoiled me rotten.

Here is a picture of Violeta as a baby in Serbia. Note the chickens. I believe she was sitting in the coop. Was she raised by chickens? This would explain a lot...

A fabulous Viola in her tiny apartment. Sonree's painting is visible in the background.
