Notice that by clicking on the pink framed photo you are presented with a much larger photo.- In connection with the Art Crimes site be sure to look at the Georgia Tech Server message. Can you imagine the discourse that preceded that message?
National Graffiti Information Network This site takes the perspective of cities and property owners to the defacing of property involved in graffiti. Note how the art message is completely lost, as would be the art were it not for the graffiti sites. Hannah Arendt (a philosopher, and, yes, a woman) says that humans as makers represent the highest form of the expression of human life.
Keith Haring Subway Drawings spent his whole life drawing for the public, in the New York subways. How is it structurally violent to deny a forum to an artist? And how can a poor artist reach a forum?

Review on Haring's Art
Scroll down to Galloway's Art in America article from 1991. It's a link.Keith Haring: Made in Germany by David Galloway "Haring's vision was rarely so blithe and never so simplistic as his detractors suggested. The 'simple ritualistic, iconic experience' which was the goal of his work never excluded an awareness of fear and aggression and death-elements frequently represented and thereby exorcised in primitive art. Haring argued that 'the contemporary artist has a responsibility to continue celebrating humanity,' but 'celebration' does not merely imply a carefree festival; it also means, as in the eucharistic rites, a solemn, reflective occasion. That implicit duality, present in Haring's work from the start, is the reason why we look again at even his simplest ideograms, and it is why they strike a seemingly universal chord. The fact that they appeal to children as well as adults may indicate, to some guardians of cultural propriety, that Haring is not an artist to be taken seriously. One might as well raise the same myopic objection to Mark Twain and Huckleberry Finn." (Art in America, March 1991, page 163)

My personal favorite is the Morphs. Click on the Morphs icon; then click on the central image. Once the Haring baby appears click on the baby and the morphs will appear.
